Cast

With this outstanding cast, there was no doubt that the performances in FARE were going to be great.

We were incredibly lucky that some very well established actors were willing to appear in the film even though they had the smallest of roles!

Christian Coooke - 'Dominic'

Christian began his acting career at the age of 10 when he appeared in a production of Bedazzled at the Bingley Arts Centre. His first television appearance was in a commercial for Birds Eye beef burgers. His career has progressed from there.

He has guest starred in 'Doctors', 'The Royal', 'Casualty' and 'George Gently'. He starred in one episode of the BBC's 'Robin Hood' as Will Scarlett's younger brother, Luke Scarlett. He also guest starred in the 2008 Doctor Who episodes "The Sontaran Stratagem" and "The Poison Sky", playing UNIT soldier Ross Jenkins, who dies in the latter episode.

In 2010 Christian played the lead role of Freddie in Ricky Gervais’ 'Cemetery Junction'. He also starred in the critically acclaimed Channel 4 four-part drama 'The Promise', directed by Peter Kosminsky. He recently starred in the new 1950s Miami-set drama series, Magic City.

Maimie McCoy - 'Charon'

Maimie was born in Yorkshire, where she attended Stokesley School. She studied Performing Arts at London Metropolitan University, graduating with a BA (Hons) in 2001.

Maimie has starred in both 'Desperate Romantics' and 'The Crimson Petal and the White' for the BBC. In 2009 she appeared in 'Personal Affairs' as Nicole Palmerston-Amory, a 'man-eating, cynical realist who favours money over love'. She has since received critical acclaim for her role as Anna Westin in the hit TV series Wallander, and recently played the lead role of Joyce Hatto in 'Loving Miss Hatto' to be screened this Christmas; written by Victoria wood and also starring Francesca Annis , Alfred Molina and Rory Kinnear. She is currently starring in 'Endeavour' for ITV.

Acting isn't Maimie's only passion, she also runs the successful cake making business, Mary's Tea Parties.  http://www.marysteaparties.co.uk

Jack Morgan - 'Tramp 1'

Originally a musician, Jack has played his part in a few shorts before landing 'George Harrison' in 'Lennon, Naked'. Frankly, he was disappointed it didn't feature 'Harrison, Naked'. Other than playing roles, he writes, plays and sings. Naked, usually.

Mike Altmann - 'Tramp 2'

Born in Berlin in January 1937, Mike was snatched to safety in late 1938 and spent WW2 in England. The holder of four degrees (including an MBA from Harvard Business School and an M.Sc. from Cranfield), he has been a University of Maryland lecturer, a translator, an army sergeant and, as an Assistant Vice President at a major American bank, made a long, disastrous but madly exciting foray into the financing of feature film production (amply described in his forthcoming book). He can communicate diffidently in 6 languages.

Mike first began appearing in movies in the early 1980s (initially only advertising and industrial films, and then also two features and a TV series), but quickly gave up all aspiration to achieve screen stardom and instead assiduously applied himself to qualifying as a yoga instructor. More recently, he has returned to the cinema world, has tried his hand at production and has been lucky enough to contrive minor supporting roles in nine feature films. For much of each year he now resides in Thailand, and his pages (“Mike Altmann”) on IMDb.com are filling up with almost indecent speed.

Rebecca Ferdinando - 'Girlfriend'

Rebecca began her acting career as a child when she appeared in roles for leading television series such as 'Holby City', 'The Last Detective' and 'Silent Witness'.

Her looks and personality combined meant that by the time she was eighteen she was signed by one of London's top modelling and commercial agents which led her to work for some famous brands and campaigns such as Vivienne Westwood.

Rebecca's modelling work funded her through drama-school and then she made a transition back onto television by working on shows such as Channel Five's Great Big British Quiz as their anchor presenter, and modelling for This Morning, GMTV and Alan Titchmarsh to name a few.

Since graduating and treading the boards, she has enjoyed some fantastic memorable roles such as Dorrabella for BBC's Elgar's Enigma, Beanie in Feature Film 'Shank'; directed by Mo Ali and most recently she played Mary alongside Tamer Hassan in 'Bonded By Blood' which was released in September 2010.

Sean Cronin - 'Boyfriend'

Sean has worked on many big films including; 'The World is not Enough', 'The Mummy' 1 and 2, 'Sleepy Hollow', 'Star Wars', 'Harry Potter', and many more. Most recently he stared in the Heineken commercials in conjunction with the release of the latest Bond film, 'Skyfall'.

Sean is also an accomplished cinematographer and director in his own right and has shot dozens of high end music videos, commercials, short films and features.

Abdelkrim Assad - 'Bouncer'

39 yrs old of Moroccan origin, 'Abbs' is a former member of the Moroccan Basketball team. Since picking up the acting bug, he has appeared in numerous productions such as The Bourne Ultimatum, Green Zone, Children of men and most recently appeared as an Assassin in Thor - The Dark World.

Darwin Shaw - 'Man in bar'

In a 'blink and you'll miss it' cameo, Darwin appears in the bar scene standing at the bar. But Darwin's acting talents far exceed those required of him for FARE.

Darwin's first job after graduating from LAMDA was in Deborah Warner's production of Julius Caesar at the Barbican Theatre with a cast which included Ralph Fiennes, Fiona Shaw and Simon Russell Beale. His first feature film role was as Fisher, James Bond's first kill, in the opening of 2006's Casino Royale that introduced Daniel Craig as the new 007.

He then went on to play Asoka in 'Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time' in an action role protecting Princess Tamina (Gemma Arterton) and the dagger of time from Prince Dastan (Jake Gyllenhaal).

He worked for Pixar in spring, 2010, on the film' John Carter of Mars' with an ensemble cast which includes Mark Strong, Willem Dafoe, Taylor Kitsch and Dominic West directed by Oscar winner Andrew Stanton.

Most recently Darwin played a major role in 'The Bible' for the History channel, and appeared as Will Scarlett in The RSC’s much acclaimed production of 'Robin Hood'.

Georgina Leahy - 'Snake girl'

Georgina appears in FARE with her pet snake 'slinky', terrifying Dominic at the bar.

Georgina is of both English and Polish heritage, born and bred in London. She loves many forms of performance art including acting, dancing, singing, photographic, video art and has recently trained in fire dancing including fire staff, body burning, stilts, fire hoop, fire eating and fire breathing and performs with her pet Snake, a burmese albino python. (As seen on Britains Got Talent 2011 right through to the semi finals). Not only is Georgina an actor and a performer, she is also lead singer with the band Carnation Twink. She also recently toured with Adam Ant as a backing singer (in the Good the Mad and the Lovely Posse) and the support act performing as Twinkle Twinkle.

Georgina stared in Sony Picture's 'Sofia's Diary' for three series on Bebo and Fiver. She played the lead in Mavericks films 'A Winters Secret' which got a standing ovation at Cannes Film Festival and played the lead in 'PartyGirl' which is currently causing a buzz at the Film Festivals.

Joseph Erice-Harling - 'Boy 1'

Joseph gets an honourable mention here not only because he is the director's son, but also as he did so well with his first film role where he appeared with his best friend Thomas Dietrich as the boys on the beach.
