Pj Harling - Director


Pj began his film career working on productions such as 'American Beauty', 'Casino Royale', 'Nil By Mouth' and 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy'.  In the last few years he has gone on to make a mark in the world of short-form editing on such high profile campaigns as: 'Quantum Of Solace', 'Transformers', 'Star Trek' and many others.



His first short film as director, 'Dipper', was received to great acclaim, receiving ‘best of show’ at the Best Shorts film competition and winning Triggerstreet’s Online Film Festival. He since went on to make 'The Morning After', which was shortlisted for Best Comedy at The Limelight Film Awards.



FARE marks Pj's biggest project to date, and the last short film before he embarks on his first feature film, Consequence.

Steve Lawes - Director of Photography



Steve is a UK based Director of Photography, with credits on major Network Television Series including the BBC’s critically acclaimed ‘Sherlock’, for which he has received a RTS Craft Nomination and a Bafta Cymru Award, and the multi award-winning 'Jimmy McGovern’s – The Street'.

Steve has worked on international projects for Sky HD and HBO including the feature film 'Skellig' and the Action series 'Strikeback'. Steve’s background was in stills photography, a film school graduate who has worked in the Film, Television and Commercial industry for over 18 years.

Kelly Wilkie - Producer



With a background in advertising Kelly is making her way as a London based film producer. Along with FARE, Kelly has produced a series of music videos and several short films. Her current projects include the development of two feature films, and expounding on the virtues of the American High School movie as a genre and what we can all learn from 'Heathers'.

Richard Lynn - 1st Assistant Director



Richard is a London-based Director and Assistant Director, who has spent the last 10 years working his way up through the ranks of many of terrestrial TVs flagship shows. With time served at the likes of 'Eastenders', 'Casualty' and 'The Bill', he has brought the AD skills he picked up there to a number of acclaimed short films, kids dramas, comedies and feature films.

Richard has recently made the move to Director at Eastenders, and has 16 episodes under his belt so far, with more on the horizon.

Jude Cook - Writer



Jude Cook lives in London and studied English Literature at UCL, where he graduated with a first. Originally a musician and songwriter, his band Flamingoes released two albums twelve-years apart: Plastic Jewels (1995) and Street Noise Invades the House (2007).

An extract from his first novel, BYRON EASY, won the Writers’ and Artists’ Yearbook Competition in 2007, judged by The Literary Consultancy. His essays and short fiction have appeared in Staple magazine.

Jude’s monstrously assured and funny debut novel BYRON EASY will be published by William Heinemann of Random House in 2013.

Ben North - Writer



Ben met Jude in the late 90's. When Jude asked him to collaborate on concepts and treatments for the second series of ‘Urban Gothic’ it chimed with his love both of urban fantasy and ‘Tales of the Unexpected’-style morality stories. Fare’ was one of the results of that collaboration.



Ben has worked as a creative in the UK publishing industry for nearly fifteen years, starting at Penguin Books. He is currently Creative Director at HarperCollinsPublishers.

David Saunders - Composer



David is a London based Film/TV composer, who’s writing draws upon a range of stylistic influences, from the contemporary to the traditional, in order to deliver a soundtrack that compliments the directors vision.


Television work includes scoring Gavin Toomey's black comedy Extreme, starring Men Behaving Badly's Caroline Quentin and Jeremy Swift from The Smoking Room. His music has also featured on Channel 5's Benidorm ER, Ten Things I Hate, Lost Routes with Griff Rhys-Jones and Killers Behind Bars with David Wilson.

Working at a grass-roots level with upcoming directors has meant David has established a strong foundation in the film industry, ensuring his position working alongside the big names of the future. Scoring films including TRACC award-winning short This Reality and Oak Trees has seen David named as composer on Anthony Attah's upcoming feature Coercion. Having established a strong working collaboration with director Jeremy Whelehan has also secured him the position of composer on the documentary of Sam Mendes and Kevin Spacey's touring production of Richard III.


David has also recently been Named SCOREcast’s Director of Global Community.

Jon Haward - Concept Artist



Jon Haward is a freelance illustrator who's work has been reproduced around the world , over the years Jon has worked for Childrens books, Joke books, Activity packs, Comics, Newspaper strips, Cards games, Board games, Computer game character design development, Story boards for films and posters (including ones to promote groups), Religious illustrations and illustrated Record covers/ CD's.



In 1999 Jon launched his own characters in America they where co-created with Alan Grant (who is a well known writer for characters such as Batman, Lobo, Judge Dredd and Ace Lightning), called The Hell Crew. They appeared in Frank Frazetta Fantasy Illustrated Magazine, the title of their first adventure was 'Hell Comes To Elf Town'.
